mobile phone now a days. We are daily using internet in mobile phones. We are mostly using social networking sites in our mobile. While using there is a big problem for mobile users is the Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu/Kannada & All Local Language Text/Fonts are not viewing in the mobile browser.
Most of the Symbian/Java platform mobile users are experiencing this problem. The above fonts are showing as simple "square boxes". It is a big head ache for us. Most of us using the mobile browsers like UC Browser, Opera Mini, QQ Browser. But they didn't have the ability to show the local language scripts. But, we can make the Opera Mini to show the local texts by doing a simple job. The steps to do is as follows...

  • Go to opera.com and download the appropriate "Opera Mini" browser for your phone model. (Neglect this if you have already have Opera Mini in your phone)
  • Just open the browser and type "config:" in the browser's address bar. (without double quotes)
  • In the next page go to the bottom part and see the option as "Use bit map fonts for complex scripts". Set this option as "Enable".
  • Finally Save the settings.
Thats it. Hereafter you can view any local language fonts like Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu/Kannada and more in the Opera Mini browser. Just check it out.
